Frequently Asked Questions
-
I am an out of network provider and do not bill insurance directly. This allows me to offer a high level of privacy, flexibility, and personalized care. If your insurance plan includes out of network benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.

Yes! I provide in person sessions on Mondays and Fridays in Sacramento.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that clients can submit to their health insurance company to request reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services. It includes information such as the dates of service, diagnosis code, procedure code, provider information, and the fees paid for treatment.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions. Reimbursement amounts vary depending on your specific insurance plan.
While I can provide a superbill upon request, I cannot guarantee reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to verify your out-of-network benefits and ask about their reimbursement process.

I maintain a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please contact me to inquire about current availability.

Sessions are 45-50 minutes. Extended sessions are available upon request based on schedule availability, with fees prorated accordingly.
Frequency varies depending on your needs, goals, and treatment plan. I recommend that new clients begin with weekly sessions and adjust from there based on what feels supportive and sustainable.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
